IPS Damayanti Sen an officer of the 1996 Batch from the West Bengal cadre, holds the rank of Additional Director General of Police in West Bengal Police. She was appointed as probation officer in Kolkata since 1996. IPS Damayanti Sen has earlier served as the Deputy Commissioner of police in North, Central zone and Detective department in Kolkata Police. She was The First Female Joint Commissioner of Police in Kolkata Police.

IPS Sen was transferred to WBP in different departments at Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy, Barrackpore, Darjeeling division, Barrackpore PC and Criminal Investigation Department. In 2022, Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj of the Calcutta High Court’s Division Bench issued an order designating IPS Sen to lead the inquiry into the four rape cases in Deganga, Matia, Ingrezbazar, and Banshdroni.

  • Paramita Malakar, AIR 477 UPSC CSE 2024– Paramita Malakar began her UPSC journey in 2018 while working at TCS, balancing her job with preparation. After missing the final cut-off by just 4 marks in 2022, she was determined to comeback stronger. With strong dedication, including 28 Mains mock tests, she secured AIR 812 in 2023 and improved further to AIR 477 in 2024. With a technical background in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an optional subject like Anthropology, her preparation stands as a perfect blend of scientific temperament and socio-cultural understanding — qualities essential for a future civil servant.   • Priya Purohit, Reserve List UPSC CSE 2023 – A symbol of ambition and hard work, she represents the new wave of aspirants aiming to join the league of women officers and contribute meaningfully to governance. Starting without any UPSC background, Priya relied on self-study but soon found it unstructured. After failing Mains in her first attempt, she did not lose hope. With personalized mentorship and strong emotional support, she improved her preparation. Initially weak in CSAT, she dedicated 5–6 months to it, which helped her successfully clear the challenging CSAT paper in 2023 and also make it to the Reserve List of UPSC CSE 2023. At the moment she has been allotted the IDES service.
